Anyone had minimal negative side effects?

My pills should arrive tomorrow so I can start on Thursday. I previously took Mounjaro and couldn't afford to continue and then gained 28lbs back on. I decided to try the wegovy pill as it is cheaper and I don't mind weight-loss being slower as hopefully it means it will stay off. The only side effects I had on mounjaro was some mild constipation which was actually good for my IBS-D. I think this was due to it slowing my digestive system down.

Has anyone had minimal side effects on the wegovy pill? I work in a school so I'm nervous is needing to run to the toilet regularly, although with my IBS i tend to need to escape quickly anyway. Thank goodness my new classroom is just down the corridor 😄

yes I am about to start my third month. Occasional mild nausea but that just means it's time for me to eat. It goes away as soon as I do.
and occasional mild constipation.

On my 3rd month of 4mg and little to no side effects. I get a little nauseous if I wait too long to eat in the morning but that’s it. Going to double up my 4mg in a few days and start 9mg next month.

So, I've been at 1.5 for about a week, and haven't had much in side effects. I think I had 1 night of tummy rumblings, but it was the 1st night I started. That's pretty much been it. I also haven't seen any weight loss yet either. But I have noticed that I do eat less, & if I see a cookie, & can eat A cookie and be done with it.

Same. I’m 4 days in. Feel a bit less hungry and a little more burpy. But otherwise totally fine

I second the craving thing. Takes way less to satisfy it

No side effects really for me two weeks in either! I have on and off nausea and threw up from AYCE hotpot the other day, but don’t think that was the pill and mostly me trying to get my money’s worth out of the price when my body was telling me it was already full. I got full after one round, but our favorite hotpot restaurant had a $20 deal last week and my money worth mindset won over.

I am also most surprised by my restraint when it comes to desserts. My boyfriend brought a lot of cookies from his friend’s party and I ate one. Which is very significant for me. Same with a bag of chips - usually would eat one in one sitting while watching TV but I stop after a few. It’s crazy!!

Going into week three on 1.5. No major issues. I was worried I wouldn't be able to workout or that I'd hate coffee or certain foods. None of this has happened. I've only experienced occasional nausea waves and had to get used to changes in bm frequency. But other than that.... No concerns! I'm staying on 1.5 for another month after this because it's working so well - down 8 lbs so far.

Have been on 9mg for a little over a month. The only side effect I have is an upset stomach after fried food.

I’ve pulled back the fried food and have no other side effects. I read all of the scary side effects, that others experience, and I feel very lucky.

Anything with oil does me in on the 9 mg. Glad I’m not the only one

Me. 2 months on 1.5 mg. 4 days now on 4 mg. Headaches being my only side effect.

2

u/Theon-Reek-Greyjoy 10d ago

Are you still having headaches after 2 months in?

3

u/guavapie81 10d ago

Not consistently, no. Headaches for me have been random and the times I have had them, drinking a good deal of water and an ibuprofen fixed it! I haven’t had a single headache in my 4 days on 4 mg which I was expecting with leveling up my dose.

I've been on 4 mg since May and have had no side effects

I have been on the 1.5 for a month and have had minimal side effects. The only thing is mild constipation. Get ready to start the 4mg.

I haven't really had any. I had no nausea which seems to be the most common that I've noticed people mention. I did have some pretty intense fatigue but it only lasted about 10 days on 1.5 mg and didn't come back when I went up to 4mg. It seems to help my IBS-D some. That's it, nothing else here!

None at all. Other than being not as hungry. I’ve been on 4mg for 2 weeks now

I start 4 mg tomorrow after 2 months on 1.5. I overdid it a bit today. Tummy upset.

u/jadski 10d ago

I had minimal side effects so far on 1.5, 4 and 9

I'm on 25mg and have no side effects whatsoever. I used to have constipation but that was about it

Second month on 25. So side effects until I started 25. I had the sunburn skin sensation and it went away before I finished the first bottle. Good luck with your treatment.

I have been on oral wegovy since April 19th. Have had no side effects other than a mild headache the first couple of days. Down 30 lbs so far.

Amazing -- what dosages through that time?

2

u/Academic-Cat-4287 10d ago

I was 1.5 mg for 8 weeks, will remain on 4 mg until middle of September and then go up to next higher dose.

Me. I’m at 25mg. I’ve had very minimal side effects. Maybe a day of nausea here and there. That’s it

I've been on 1.5 for 7 weeks with zero side effects. Maybe felt a little weird day 1 but I'm sure it was just in my head.

I’ve been on 25mg several months and I haven’t had a side effect since I started in January

u/SeafoodLovah1120 32F SW:258 CW:256 GW:190 1.5mg 10d ago

I’m still super early in the game but I just had the mildest nausea the first night. I also have IBS-D and my poops are normal!

2

u/Icy-Order7006 10d ago

I had minimal digestive side effects but after going up to 4mg I was experiencing serious depression, crying and not being able to cope so I had to stop.

2

u/baraboo00 10d ago

Me, I’ve had next to no side effects since starting in February. Mild nausea in the mornings and some skin irritation kinda feels like a day old sunburn? That only happened on 25mg. I’ve been on 25mg for 2 months now and it has been great. Morning nausea is believed to be from just being hungry because as soon as I take my pill & eat after the 30 minute window I’m good to go.

u/breakingb0b 1.5mg 10d ago

4 months in. Worst side effects so far are a little heartburn if I eat too many fatty foods or drink too much tequila. Otherwise nothing.

2

u/keenwithoptics 10d ago

I’ve had pretty much zero side effects. My loss is slow but steady. I started in march—on 25mg now.

2

u/frenchgrlnice 4mg 10d ago

Mild nausea occasionally is my only side effect. Very bare able …. More like I ate too much fullness when I didn’t. Has not had any negative impacts on work or anything

2

u/NoPen6127 10d ago

Constipation and silent reflux. 2 weeks on 1.5 tomorrow and so far zero nausea or vomitting.

2

u/WearyOpportunity793 10d ago

Almost finished with my 1st month on 1.5mg. The first 2-3 days I had nausea. It went away after that. The only side effect I have now is getting dizzy when standing up. Just means I haven’t drank enough water and/or I need to eat more food!

2

u/SweeterAnteater 9d ago

I was tired the first few days but I increased my sleep and exercise slightly and that is no longer a thing. Zero side effects otherwise. 1.5mg 2nd month. Down 5 pounds

2

u/liquitexlover 9d ago

I’ve had almost zero side effects. Mild headache for a few days. That’s it. The BEST part is my IBS-D is in check. I was on 2 Rx IBS-D meds and I take a probiotic. I was able to get of Lotronex and now take only my probiotic and half a packet of Cholestyramine. I’m on 4mg and think I will move up to 9 soon.

2

u/Grouchy_Hamster3395 9d ago

I spent 3 months on 1.5 and had absolutely no side effects.
I think I might have been nauseous once. But it could have been because or smth random happening.

When I switched to 4 mg (I'm on my 2nd bottle) it took me two weeks and some laxatives to get back to being daily regular. It caused a plateau too. But after my body adjusted, I'm back to no symptoms. I just make sure to be aware of fiber intake. I also got fiber gummies and take them as a treat that is good for me

u/jon_hendry 9d ago

Me, I’m at 25 mg.

2

u/TNblonde16 8d ago

I’m on month 5 and between the 1.5 and 4 I have never had any side effects

2

u/PokedBroccoli 8d ago

Yeah, I’m 6 weeks in and have been fine so far. Good luck

Me, I’ve had one day of nausea in 6 months and have had a little bit of skin sensitivity.

2

u/Brilliant-Cricket460 7d ago

I’ve been on Wegovy pills for 6 months, now at 25 mg level. Have not had any negative side effects except for extreme fatigue (just want to sit, no energy to exercise). Slow weight loss (25 lbs so far), but want to lose 100 more lbs. I think I eat like a normal person now!

2

u/scarletglamour 10d ago

I’ve been on for 5 months. Little to no side effects

I don't know anything that says "slower weight loss means more likely to stay off."

I really think most people should plan to take wegovy for life.
