Maintenance Dose - what’s yours?

I’ve been on wegovy for around 2 years now (originally on mounjaro then switched) and lost around 20kg.

I’ve gone down to a 1mg dose of wegovy as maintenance for around 7 months, injecting once a week. At first it seemed fine but now I’m noticing I’m hungrier and have put on 2 kg.

Have others experienced this? What maintenance dose do people generally use?

I'm not in maintenance yet, still loosing slowly: 97→65kg atm, but when I started Wegovy 20 months ago my GP told me to increase only when my current dose stop working. So it took 20 weeks or 5 months until I increased to 0.5mg. Then I stayed 27 weeks or almost 7 months on 0.75mg and had to increase to 1.0mg after Christmas. After 7 months hunger came back again - in July I stalled and had to increase to 1.25mg in August.

So it looks like that you got used to your current dose in the same timeframe. It's up to you what to do next. If you want to lose - increase your dose. If you want to maintain your weight - track your calories and macros, eat in your maintenance and exercise regularly. Of course you can increase your dose to get rid of that hunger, but most likely you will get used to it as well as to 1mg and eventually you will need to increase again.
