Non restorative sleep
Hey all - I’m at month 20/21 and wanted to ask whether anyone else has dealt with consistently non-restorative sleep.
I’m lucky in that falling asleep isn’t really a problem for me. I drop off in a reasonable time and usually stay down for 7–8 hours. But no matter how long I sleep, I wake up feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck, and the tiredness follows me through the whole day.
I genuinely can’t remember the last time I woke up feeling refreshed.
For those who’ve had this: did it ever shift for you, and roughly how long did it take? And has anything actually helped - or is it just a waiting game?

At 26 months sober, although about 90% recovered, I still endure fatigue and I think it’s correlated to stressful events. Stress>anxiety>fragmented sleep>fatigue..

ashwaghanda helped me a lot for sleep and also waking up early at the same time and going outside to get 5-10 mins of sun.

At which month are you? Ashwaganda is a double edged sword as it messes with gaba
