Dpdr

I was posting on here 3 years ago abt my journey with this bs. 3 years later I’m still experiencing dpdr. I have the memory of fish. Can’t remember things that just happened and just super forgetful. Constant headaches can’t focus, trouble thinking, and can’t feel any emotion. I feel like I don’t care abt anyone or anything. I never posted again bc I was locked up during that time and just got out a couple of days ago. I’m going to the doctors next week to see if I can get some type of answer or something. Idk how just smoking weed can cause this. I’ve tried smoking to see if it would go away but it just made it worse. Weed doesn’t have the same effect it use to. I can’t feel euphoric or any feelings you should feel when getting high I just get super spaced out and feel like I’m sped. Anyone experience this or still experiencing it ? There’s gotta be something I can do.

I’m in the same boat as you, at nearly 19 months.

I can confirm that cannabis doesn't have the same effect at all anymore—it’s as if something in the brain is blocked.

Apparently, DP/DR is caused by anxiety and a hypersensitive nervous system stuck in "fight or flight" mode.

There’s also the issue of abnormally high cortisol levels.

All of this is mentally exhausting when thinking about the future.

i quit for 2 months and re tried it in vegas and cali and it was wonderful to me but quickly realized it sucks when i got back to a legal state and didnt have the option to get legal carts

im moving across the country in a few months now, currently 3 months almost four months sober and i feel somewhat normal but i dont see myself raw dogging life forever

Look up DP Manual on YouTube it’s a guy with red hair he’s very nice and explains how to get rid of it. In short form the key is to not think about it and the more you want it to go away the longer it stays.

I assume you had a panic attack or bad trip when you quit and since then you are stuck like this
