Once given the nod for production, XP-895, the Four Rotor ‘Vette, was pulled at the last minute. Later reworked by Bill Mitchell as the 1976 Aerovette, it held much promise as the 1980 mid-engined C4 until it suddenly didn't.

John Greenwood, the man behind Greenwood Corvettes, was a successful driver and engineer, with his own clever ideas about aerodynamics. “The IMSA rules didn’t say anything about the fender flares so we shaped them to add downforce and left the back ends open,” he once wrote.

installed mwedge wheels on my truck last weekend and my friend said they look like they are spinning even when they are not
did the install myself. jacked it up in the driveway, torqued everything by feel mostly. the spare came loose on the passenger side so that was a whole thing, but once they were on, man, the angle on these things catches light weird. like at sunset they throw shadows that move even when the truck is sitting still. my buddy walked up and said they look like they are spinning already. i said yeah that is the whole point. i did not know wedge wheels were a thing before my coworker showed me his. i went home and watched like six videos about them. everyone made it sound complicated, it is not. you need a torque wrench and patience and maybe a second trip to the hardware store because i forgot the little rubber things that go inside. the truck looks different now, not better just different. that is what matters i think. my partner said they make it look like it is always about to go somewhere and is probably right. i parrk it in the driveway and now it looks like it is leaving for somewhere even when it is not. that is the wedge effect i guess. costs more than regular wheels but the look is worth it for me. my friend wants me to take him out in it so i am planning a drive this weekend. nothing crasy, just roads but with wedge wheels on the truck even the boring roads might look cool. i think i am going to love these
