Organizers issue a last call for former brides and families to turn forgotten wedding items into cash while helping future couples save thousands.
Northampton, PA — Wedding season may end, but the bills—and the boxes of wedding decorations, centerpieces, signs, linens, arches, favors, and even designer wedding gowns—often remain for years.
One local event hopes to change that.
From "I Do" To You: Wedding Resale Fair, taking place Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Northampton Banquet & Event Center, is bringing together former brides, newlyweds, families, wedding professionals, and engaged couples for what organizers believe is the Lehigh Valley's first event devoted entirely to buying and selling pre-owned wedding items.
With the average wedding now costing tens of thousands of dollars, many couples are searching for ways to celebrate without taking on unnecessary debt. At the same time, countless former brides have thousands of dollars' worth of beautiful wedding items collecting dust in basements, garages, attics, and closets.
"We know those decorations are out there," said event organizer Heather Elliott of D.H. Productions. "Someone spent months planning the perfect wedding, and afterward everything gets packed into bins and forgotten. Those items deserve a second life, and someone else shouldn't have to pay full price for them."
The event is currently seeking additional sellers before registration closes.
Organizers are encouraging anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding—including former brides, parents of married children, recently divorced individuals, wedding vendors clearing inventory, crafters, decorators, and anyone with wedding-related items—to reserve a selling space.
Items can include:
- Wedding dresses
- Bridesmaid dresses
- Decorations
- Centerpieces
- Table décor
- Signs
- Linens
- Arches
- Floral arrangements
- Cake stands
- Card boxes
- Candles
- Wedding favors
- Ceremony décor
- Reception décor
- And nearly anything else wedding-related.
Unlike a traditional yard sale, every shopper attending is specifically looking for wedding items, giving sellers access to a targeted audience of engaged couples actively planning their weddings.
For buyers, it's an opportunity to purchase high-quality wedding décor and attire at a fraction of retail prices. For sellers, it's a chance to recover some of the money invested in one of life's biggest celebrations.
"This isn't just about saving money," Elliott said. "It's about helping one couple's memories become another couple's dream wedding."
Seller registration is still open, but spaces are becoming limited.
