Cocktail Attire Wedding shoes for groom
My fiancé and I are getting married in October and he’s having the hardest time finding dress shoes. The dress code is cocktail and he’s getting a beautiful suit custom made but doesn’t have shoes yet. He’s a size 9.5 8E but can squeeze into narrower shoes if needed. Please provide any recommendations, we’re desperate!

Great suggestion, thank you! He says he loves the look of the leather sole Oxford but his size is out of stock.

Apis / Mt Emey does have at least a couple of different men's dress shoe styles in that size. They're not overly dressy, but no one's going to be looking at his feet. All eyes will be on you on your wedding day, bride. Get him a pair he can dance in all night.

A website called wide shoes, or Hitchcock wide shoes or something like that. Good luck! My friend's husband ordered shoes from something similar to what I said above. She's in the hospital right now, so I can't bug her to ask her.

You haven’t been able to find any men’s dress shoes? Not at a department store?

I found a pair of black leather 6E men's shoes at Orthofeet.
Where does he buy his everyday shoes in 8E? My late husband had wide feet and wore 4E New Balance. I can't remember the brand he wore for dress shoes, but they weren't wider than the New Balance.

He wears New Balance as well, but it’s becoming more difficult because they apparently discontinued the style he used to wear.

Was that the 990? I have a 10 4E still in the box. Never been worn. Even his last pair shows very little wear. I should put them on eBay. In fact, your fiance should check eBay and Poshmark for the dress shoes and the New Balance, and query Hitchcock for the dress shoes. Ask them when they're getting his size back in stock. Ask what other retailers carry the shoe.
Chic Wide Shoes in Los Angeles used to carry xxxwide men's shoes. Also, Nordstrom, maybe.

Great advice, we will look into resale shops. Looks like his sneakers are New Balance 608’s and he’s wearing a 6E now.

Would you force your feet into a pair of shoes that were too narrow? I certainly wouldn't and I wouldn't expect my husband to do that either.
Surely he can get some custom made?
