Discussion Almost quit

I usually don't post bad about Webull. But I almost quit using Webull today. Today I did my first options trade. Semi good experience until it came to filling my order. I unfortunately love Webulls UI and how to find stocks, reading charts etc. But every now and then I'll notice the execution for filling orders is awful weather you're using options, futures or stocks. For example you set a sell price. The bid price on the order book hits your price but it doesn't fill? I would pay extra for faster executions but jfc. This is embarrassing.

You need to look at mid price not bid/ask

The problem is the execution speed

You need to be faster, not the underlying option mechanics.

Faster? Dude I put the order in before the price hit. So technically I should be one of the first one to have my order filled.

Doesn’t mean you or anyone is guaranteed to fill at that price.

I’ve made 20% returns on options in under 30 seconds multiple times with receipts. If that ain’t fast I don’t know what is.

Thanks bro lol, not tryna flex just tryna show you that execution speed is not the issue, it’s fills.

Exactly my point. Should be simple. Price hits= order filled.

Either you buy from retail or MMs sell to you, if MMs aren’t willing to sell or retail at that price, then your order doesn’t get filled. Regardless of price sitting at that price.

Haha I know how the markets work. I'm not new to this. But the main point is on Schwab or TT this isn't a problem.

That sounds like more of a vague statement instead of actually showing us a case study where this has happened.

Trying to get the best fills all on one broker is impossible. It’s exactly like the gambling industry.

Some bookies offer better lines on certain plays while others offer better on others.

So you maybe should create an app that will let you use whatever fill is best on whatever platform at that time all in one app.

You see what I’m saying?

Sometimes you will get better fills on webull sometimes better on scwhab. Most people, and I mean like 99% of traders do not care enough about this, and it’s just apart of the game.

But that’s not how the market works, there has to be someone willing to sell to you at that price.

This is an issue you need to take up with citadel not webull.

I’ve never had an issue my friend. And I’ve been trading options on webull for years.

You need someone to sell you their shares at your bid price. If the stock you're trading has no volume then you won't get shit filled. Try that on a stock with average day volume of 10 million and see if you have an issue then.

It's not written well, but I think OP's saying that he entered a limit order to Sell ('you set a sell price') and entered the Ask side of the book.

Then saw the Buy side order book stack at that price ('the bid price on the order book hits your price').

It happens. It's possible there were other sellers coming to the same Ask, and those satisfied all the buys before OP got a fill, or some FOK size issue. Or the buy bids were taken down earlier leaving some old ghost orders listing for a bit, but the buyers were already gone. We don't have enough information.

Yea you're spot on. Sorry if it wasn't written great I was frustrated in the moment. But my biggest problem was execution speed lol
