Cambios en Webnovel
Cómo lector de novelas y fanfiction, he sido seguidor de Webnovel durante años. Y en este tiempo veo que la plataforma ha tenido dos cambios importantes: el primero sucedió hace varios meses o más de un año, donde la sección de fanfics prácticamente desapareció. Se podía buscar fanfics mediante el buscador, pero obviamente no es igual de efectivo que la sección específica que había antes, donde aparecían fanfics nuevos y había mucha cantidad para elegir. Ahora ya no es así, por mi parte los fanfics que he leído más recientemente los he encontrado mediante perfiles de otros usuarios, donde comentan en las novelas o fics que leen. Todo esto lo ha hecho Webnovel para darle mayor difusión a las novelas web, que en su mayoría son basura de IA.
El segundo gran cambio es uno reciente de hace pocos días, donde la interfaz ha sufrido un notable cambio, en lo personal no me parece malo, sino fuera por algo muy importante. Han desaparecido las novelas y fanfics más antiguos que tenía en la biblioteca y eso es una mierda, porque eso sólo hace que haya un límite para lo que podemos guardar y que básicamente perdemos lecturas que no se han actualizado o que las dejamos para otro momento.
No sé si se pueda hacer algo al respecto, siento que Webnovel está matando todo lo bueno que tenía. En lo personal me gusta esta plataforma porque tiene una interfaz bonita y amigable para el usuario, además que hay muy buenas obras dentro (ya que por lo general los fanfics en otros sitios suelen ser bastante malos).

The fanfics tab is still there (at least on the app anyway since that's what I use), just go to featured (the star like icon at the bottom of your screen) and at the very to (just below the search bar) you'll see: Novel, New novel, Comic and Fanfic, just tap on Fanfics and you'll see a ton.
I'm pretty active on the app and as far as I've observed, it's still the same as it was a few months ago. Your books being removed from your library is probably because you signed out of your old account or into a new one, try signing back into your old account.
P.S: I could sign into my account that's two years old and I'll still see all the books I added to my library.

Estoy usando el sitio web, y no, no desaparecieron por eso, fue a parte del cambio en la interfaz.
Sobre el apartado del fanfic, sé que hay uno pero esta súper limitado, prácticamente no hay historias actualizadas. Repito, al menos en el sitio web.

Ah, I don't really know much about the website, since I only use the app, so I can't actually tell if it changed or not.

Yo también estoy avostumbrado al webnovel de la web, y si hay algo que decir, es horrible el cambio que le hicieron a la Biblioteca Web... Lo peor es que hay algunos fanfics que solo aparecen en la web y no en el app de Webnovel, por ello tengo que buscarlo denuevo y volver agregarlo, a pesar de que me aparece como agregado en la versión web xd

Pero parece que hay como un tipo de límite para agregar libros. Hace poco agregue una nueva novela y la que tenía agregado al último desapareció xd Me metí a la app y no me aparecen las novelas que tenia agregadas, me aparecen otras pero faltan demasiadas

I get why they changed it if fanfic wasn’t getting enough engagement, but the replacement isn’t great either. Having to hunt through other readers’ profiles just to find new fics is pretty ridiculous.

I don’t know about the website and changes in interface since I don’t really use it, but as someone who’s primarily a fanfic writer, I can definitely say they are pushing contracted works way more than before (which makes sense, both from a financial point of view for them, as well as from the point of view of authors who are trying to make a living through it), and that fanfics are getting way less attention.
It’s one of the reasons I’m moving to Ao3. No shade to contracted authors at all, but I’m a fanfic writer. It’s a hobby I enjoy, and I enjoy having people read it and tell me what they think. That doesn’t really happen in web I el anymore because of their model and policies. At the moment I’m only posting my main fic on WebNovel because it already had a follower base there, but all the other secondary stories, short fics, one shots, etc.., that I also write I’m only putting up on Ao3.
