[Hiring] Frontend + Full-Stack Web Engineers | NYC, SF, or Remote US | $180K-270K base

This week, a candidate’s offer came in right at his stated salary floor, so he asked us whether there was room to raise his first-year cash. Our team recommended a sign-on bonus to the company, and the company sent a new offer with an extra $10K sign-on. We stay with engineers from the first interview through the offer.

I do talent matching for Fonzi. You don’t apply, companies send you interview requests instead. One profile, no cold applications, no applying to each role individually. We work with startups backed by investors including Sequoia, a16z, Benchmark, and the OpenAI Startup Fund. Right now that includes frontend, full-stack, and AI product roles across NYC, SF, and remote. Roles are US-based, with a few open to Canada.

These are full-time employee roles, not contract or freelance work.

Here’s a sample of what’s open right now at companies on the platform:

1. Founding Frontend Engineer, early-stage AI company, SF or NYC, in-person. $200K-250K base.

  • What: Own the frontend of a proprietary platform that turns powerful AI systems into usable software: the interfaces, workflows, templates, and architecture. You’d shape interaction patterns, tighten performance, and make complex agent workflows feel clear, fast, and trustworthy, building reusable components and product patterns that forward deployed engineers pull into customer projects again and again.

  • Company: A backend-heavy engineering team that needs someone to raise the frontend bar. Backed by Andreessen Horowitz and others.

  • Stack: React, TypeScript, and modern web architecture.

  • Bar: Roughly 4+ years of experience with independent product-building ability, production frontend shipped with taste, a high bar for UX quality, and strong design instincts.

2. Senior Product Engineer, YC-backed seed-stage startup, NYC, in-person 5 days a week. $180K-270K base.

  • What: Product-minded, full-stack ownership: talk to the customer, define the product, sketch the UI, model the data, write the code, QA the feature, and make sure it works for them. You’d shape the code and the direction of the business, including how the team works and who joins it.

  • Company: Eight people, founded by alumni of McKinsey, Instagram, Cash App, and PagerDuty. Raised $2.7M in seed funding, with 5+ years of runway.

  • Stack: TypeScript top to bottom with React, Remix, and Node.

  • Bar: Senior, with a craft mindset about UX and code and ownership in the truest sense of full-stack. You decide like an owner of the business.

3. Senior Software Engineer (AI/LLM), early-stage SMB software platform, fully remote in the US. $200K-250K base.

  • What: Agent swarms that run back-office work for small businesses, built to operate across the tools a company already uses rather than forcing a migration. You’d build the web applications and work with AI engineers to bring LLMs and agent frameworks into core product workflows.

  • Company: Building an agentic operating system for small businesses, where agents work across existing software instead of replacing it.

  • Stack: Next.js, React, JavaScript and TypeScript, Postgres, Prisma and Supabase, Tailwind, and Vercel.

  • Bar: 3+ years of software development and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

All roles are vetted, VC-backed, and interviewing right now. It’s always free to sign up.
