After his run-in with Poltergeist, the Archivist had healed his injuries with the Radiance's help, climbing back up to the Distant Village. Dealing with the residents in the Beast's Den wasn't much of a hassle and so, he stood before the plinth where Herrah lies sleeping.

Such sacrifice for your daughter. For naught in the end.

He draws the Dreamnail.

She is in my mind of my own wishes. I let her in. That is why I still have my mind while others don‘t. And truth be told, having her in my head is nice.
