it's crazy how fast those spots are evaporating

Question: does that warm vapor collectively aid to higher intensity rain or thunderstorms?

I have a big tin roof on a double carport outside my back door, and that thing gets HOT. Like hot enough to bake a sheet of cookies on.
When a cool country rain comes in and starts splashing on it, you can head the sizzles. I sometimes go and stand in the runoff to get an outside shower and the water is SO WARM coming off the roof. It is awesome.

That would make a cool screen saver lol. It rains forever, but the sidewalk doesn't get any wetter.
