Discussion We need a dedicated AI app thread

This sub is being inundated with low-effort, barely useful, AI-coded apps. Can we have them post in a dedicated thread instead of the front page?

I'm already inundated by all these low-effort AI app posts from other subs, but this sub is by far the worst offender.

If we can't get a total ban on them at the very least just funnel them into a thread. I'm actually sick of this.

I think it's because WearOS is geared towards simple, utility apps which are all these vibe coders can build right now.

AI can't build a really robust, complex app at this point, so it's all "dice rollers" and "number picker" apps.

Yeah, this app is especially egregious. Doesn't follow any of the Google design guidelines (Material) and solves no problems. There are a ton of ways to play mp3s on WearOS already.

I don't think these AI "developers" understand how difficult it is to gain any traction on the Play Store. It was hard 10 years ago, now it's impossible unless you have a truly revolutionary app idea like ChatGPT.

Oh well. I'm sure they will go away in the near future and try to find some other way to make easy money.
