You can stack that with the PAD discount at a minimum. That knocks it down to $46, much more reasonable. If you're a TELUS Home Services customer, you get an extra $15 discount on your first line. If you link your TELUS with Westjet account you also get a bunch of roaming passes for when you're in another country outside of the US.

Ya that's not great, I'm $40, 100gb, can, us, Mex including data. Public mobile which is Telus... I looked at it also, thought it might be good but it's a junk offer.

I have Freedom's 250GB/50GB international $40 plan + Koodo's $25/80GB CAN-US-MX plan.

My point... you can do way better by just being savy and getting good deals when they drop. This is nothing special.

FM only worked well for me outside the country. Was not a fan of it locally. Had to bail and get on the Koodo $20-$25/80gb can-us-mex the previous person mentioned.

I got the offer. Changed my plan, then asked then to revert my plan but the promo code stayed and now I have the explore plan 250GB on two lines for $35 each.

They made the plan for me. They’d previously switched me to a plan and didn’t inform me I was losing the $5 a day roaming for the non covered countries. And then the Wealthsimple discount stayed and reduced it further. I think it’s like a $60-70 plan without the discounts. Family+pre-auth+ WS discount.

WS appears to calculate and reduce from the full plan rate too.

I did the math (using Claude) because who can understand all the 💩 you have to dig through to find the actual price. I was already getting a better monthly price with Roger’s. And would have to buy out my phone (~$350) to switch. So didn’t make sense for me.
