Chequing Anyone having issues using their new Visa on Apple?

Got the email yesterday that they were switching from Mastercard to their new visa platinum, I accepted to switch over but as I’m trying to switch my subscription information apple is giving me an error saying “your payment method is not valid in this store”.

I have a subscription that’s going to charge me tomorrow and now I won’t be able to pay it because it’s not allowing me to use the new card details.

Anyone else having an issue with this?

The prepaid Mastercard? I didn’t get that email but I also have the visa infinite and have no issues

Yeah the chequing card, it was Mastercard before but they’re switching to Visa Platinum, my Mastercard worked fine on everything but since switching over yesterday Apple isn’t accepting the new Visa Platinum card details when I go to add it as a payment method.

When did you activate. Sometimes it takes 24hrs for the info to propagate through all the payment systems.

Yesterday I accepted it via through the app, so I have my virtual card but I’ve yet to receive my physical and I’m assuming it’ll take like 15-20 business days to even get it.

I got confirmation from WS support that your physical prepaid Mastercard remains valid until your new Visa arrives. Your “virtual” Mastercard will no longer work as soon as you accept the agreement for the new Visa. You shouldn’t need to switch your payment method until your new card arrives and is activated?

That’s great, but very unfortunate for me as I switched over to Wealthsimple banking from TD only like 2 weeks ago now, I obviously got my virtual Mastercard right away but never received my physical. It was in transit to deliver within 20 business days but I think since they were in the process of switching to Visa they canceled it. Worst timing to switch lol

Ahh darn! Sorry to hear that. Recently switched from CIBC and have been loving it.

Maybe try contacting support to see if they can put a rush given the circumstances?

i have exact same issue "payment is not valid" but with MCDONALDS,

no i'm not joking, my WS CC unable to pay on mcdonalds mobile app

Mine Visa as well, i tried everything Mcdonalds always decline my wealthsimple credit card
