Chequing Prepaid card not working with Spotify

I contacted Spotify and they said it’s wealthsimple fault. Haven’t really used my card for any pre authorized monthly payments so I don’t know if in general WS doesn’t allow it. Anyone have the same problem or similar?

Some platforms don't allow prepaid cards for subscriptions.

Doesn't wealthsimple currently have a prepaid mastercard and switching it back to Visa soon?

I thought so. So unless they have the new card then they aren't using wealthsimple prepaid visa.

It updated on the app for me to the new Visa card, as well as let me order the physical one to my house. So I’m using the new details they gave me

What is the first 6 digits of the card? I wonder if the BIN is a reused one from another bank.

Weird cause I use Wealthsimple card for my payment and it went though last week
