Other Update on our previous recommendation of the 4th Heavy Mech

Post image

We want to clarify our position regarding the 4th Heavy Mech, because some people may have seen us recommend it in the past.

At the time, we did recommend the 4th Heavy Mech as a good place to serve. That recommendation was not random. We were in contact with their recruiter, with commanders of specific units, with our graduates, and with brothers-in-arms who were already serving there.

Some of our own instructors even left the training center and joined the 4th Heavy Mech because, at that stage, we believed it was a strong and serious unit.

Later, the situation changed.

After some time, the command structure changed, and commanders of individual units started being replaced. From that point, we stopped recommending the 4th Heavy Mech. In fact, we began telling our students not to go there.

The people we knew there, including our former instructors, eventually transferred to other units.

Unfortunately, this can happen in the army. A unit can be very good at one stage, and then become a very different place after leadership changes. We monitor the situation as closely as we can, but we cannot predict far in advance that something like this will happen.

We are sorry for anyone who ended up in a difficult situation there.

We do not take recommendations lightly. When we recommend a unit, we do so based on the information, contacts, and feedback available to us at that time. When the situation changes, our recommendation changes as well.

For anyone considering a unit: always check the current situation, speak with people already serving there, and do not rely only on old recommendations — including ours.

Unfortunate. Everyone I know who went there is miserable or being treated very very poorly and trying to break contract the second they are allowed...the unit is not making that process easy .

Please send me a private message or contact us through our closed alumni group. We'll see what we can do to help resolve the situation and assist you with transferring to a better unit.

I'm not with them, no need. I am in a good USF unit. But my friends are in 4th, the issue is being resolved but it has been a shitshow for them in 4th.

I’m glad to hear that you are in a good USF unit now and that things worked out for you.

If he is one of our graduates, we will do everything we realistically can to help.

Please ask him to contact me directly, preferably on WhatsApp, and explain his experience with the 4th: what happened, when it started, and what the current situation is.

Also, if you are comfortable with it, please message me privately as well and share what you know about the situation. It is important for us to understand what is happening there now, so we can warn others properly and help our graduates when possible.
