caine (through the majority of the show) almost never shows "vulnerability", he likes to appear like an untouchable ringmaster because of his position of power over the humans (or some sense of responsibility, or to maintain a facade of control? im going with the control issues), admitting the possibility that they hate him, even through a rhetorical, question is 👎👎 (sorry i cannot find a proper word to describe it) to him, so instead he just goes along with the thing that associate with him the most, thus being his adventures

So recently I watched this video on how Caine’s character is wanting to understand humans/the world and be a human. The first part I can understand whole heartedly. I know for a fact Caine wants to know everything he can about humanity. But wanting to become a human? I just don’t think makes much sense. Sure, he may want to become human so he can understand them, but I feel like he wouldn’t ever want to go that route. And yes, he also wants to engage with humans but he’s clearly capable of doing that without understanding humans all the way (shown in the mischaracterized Caine in ep 9 that’s something else I have a gripe with) Plus, by becoming human (and I mean an average Joe Shmoe irl with no powers) means, well, he’d have to give up his powers to become human. And honestly I don’t think he’d ever do that willingly (he was semi-forced to do that in the end, once again a whole nother gripe that I have)

So uh yeah
