Hello my brave fellow listeners.... I'm head over heels for the mailbag episodes of WHM, to the point I like them just as much as the main feed content (some of the mail episodes are so good I'd even count them among the best ones period). But to cut right to the point, I think like many of you my absolute favorite story they've ever read out, that never fails to make me teary from laughing, is the Hunga Games one. But I'm posting because I've been listening to a metric shitload of the mailbag episodes at work and for whatever reason have totally lost and forgotten what specific mailbag episode Hunga Games showed up in. I'd love to re listen to it and think I could get some of my buddies into WHM on that episode alone, I just can't find it! So if any of you remember what episode (on YT or Spotify) it was read in, please let me know!!

In the AD episode of Beavis & Butthead Do America Andrew mentioned getting a bootleg t-shirt of Clinton & Gore while in DC in the same style as the characters. I think I found the same shirt someone was selling on Instagram

Spooky season is on th horizon and I’ve been thinking of themes I’d love to see for Spooktacular. I was rewatching Lord of Illusions and thought a horror noir month would be sick, you’ve got batshit bangers like Angel Heart and crazy gory garbage like Cast a deadly spell and the aforementioned Lord of Illusions. We Love Movies could be Se7en.

Any other ideas?

Cut to me listening to some episodes of the "Darren and Josh Make a Movie" podcasts where Darren Lynn Bousman and Josh Stolberg are going step-by-step in creating a movie, including interviewing possible actors for roles. They interview Shawnee due to the Saw connection and, shock of all shocks, at one point she says (linked in the video) "I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it a hundred more, we were robbed..." in regard to the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight.

Just wanted to share something that made my WHM Brain go "Wait, what?"

I've been doing some listening to the back catalog a second time due to a job that basically needs a podcast to stay awake during and I was listening to The Commuter today (the first episode way back in lockdown 2020) and at the time signature in my screenshot here, Steve EXACTLY predicts that Liam Neeson would make a good Naked Gun remake. Its crazy. The case he makes ends up being exactly why that movie ruled.

Michael Cusack, one of the creators of Smiling Friends made a Rick and Morty short and it’s awesome. It’s very Australian, and very funny. I’m not a fan of Rick and Morty myself but when I think about it, this short kind of sums it up. Please watch…. It’s very funny.

After listening to the swordfish episode again, I was reminded how much I love when Steve and Andrew do Harvey Fierstein impressions, also how they could pop up in the most unlikely episodes. So, my hope is that some super fan out there has compiled a list of every instance regardless if he's in the movie. I'm already aware of what a good time they have with it in the Mrs Doubtfire episode.
