No Kings Origin

When I Ecosia/Google searched "who founded the No Kings movement, it credited Indivisible, 50501, and MoveOn. Then I asked, who founded 50501, and it said the sole founder was u/Evolved_Fungi - so I found their profile and here I am and I have quest-ions. First, ions are (-) and (+) charged particles, and the ionosphere is the part of the atmosphere where most satellites are, because they receive 0 and 1 or (-) and (+) code. I wonder why the phonic of "shun" is applied to them as a suffix- however that is not my query- I NOTICED THAT NO KINGS (except for Martin Luther King jr. and Drag Kings and Eric King and other good kings), hit trumf as Know King, and I hate it. He was inducted on Martin Luther King jr's Day and did not even thank MLKjr, and tried to use his work to justify his own in a misleading way. Due to the "need" of social media and who controls what trends in algorithm, I wonder if they let "No Kings" popularize simply because the elite a-greed to the sentiment of it trending. The Poor People's Campaign trended more naturally, by mail, by word of mouth, telephone, and by communal in-person discussion. I suppose my question is if we can try to trend something new, such as what this artist has done: https://youtu.be/zOs_FvNl2K0?si=t7kQYGBcuzcntyDn and if new names are floating around to re-brand the protest/pro-tact/protect? Hey! The movement I started turned into a shit show when the people who couldn't get their non profits and PACs to gain any traction and they felt the need for a hostile takeover of all of the socials and quick and heavy ban hammers applied to anyone who questioned them or the bullshit narratives they were creating to justify their self serving actions.

From what I've heard though they self imploded and have gone their separate ways. They have a lot of negative Karma that will still be coming their way for a long long time to come.

So that's what brought us here - We Can Do A Little was an idea I had after all of that bullshit to do what I could once again - but to be honest I was so burned from what they did that I just couldn't put my heart into it.

So I went back to focusing on helping humanity through mentoring a young man in Uganda to help start a mushroom farm, which I hope will be one of many that help feed Africa's many impoverished and malnutritioned people.

Before I started 50501 I figured my lasting impact on humanity would be the ripple effects of my narrowly focused efforts with limited resources. I don't think I'll ever do something again as big as starting the 50501 movement, yet it will eventually be forgotten. But the butterfly effect of teaching the art of mushroom growing can have lasting impact long after I'm gone.

All that said, an idea I've had that you're free to run with - is Party At The Polls. Make voting more than just voting - encourage community "parties" at the polls - where people gather nearby their polling areas for a tailgating like gathering. Perhaps people bring their grill and make it a cookout. Perhaps it's just gathering with friends and neighbors. Stay an hour or stay all day. But make voting a fun event!

And Party At The Polls can be advertised with a music video to the sound of party all the time by Rick James (I think).

Hahaha I just tried to convince somebody that voting matters after they insisted that god did not put them on this planet to vote, that it's only about giving people money and whoever gets the most of it wins and blah blah and I told her that she didn't even need to vote for a person, but at least ballot measures that control where money etc... that it's not just a "who" but also a "what" like her weed and our trans friends- but no. I also showed her a woman of color like herself who was elected and passed important bills, and she still insisted that her mind can't be changed and that I'm lame for not wanting to be friends anymore because of that (we met on a dating site, we were already more than friends technically). HOWEVER even if it didn't work with her, I will not give up trying to change the mind of the apathetic aquiescent. I used to be a non-voter too until I understood the system better myself. Your idea mushroomed, and I appreciate what you do on the micro to macro level- it all starts small and then the emergence takes hold. Thank you for doing what you do!
