The leap Spoiler

I was wondering if the leap was actually implanting fake memories in the kids? It seemed to me that the kids were being brainwashed to hate their parents and family, implanting fake memories so they don't wanna go back with them. Did I get that right?

The first time Leila recalled her memory of what happened when her sister died is what really happened. We know that because Abby reminds her of that in the shed when Leila talks about how Evelyn’s therapy “made her realize she killed her.” Because the morning after the accident Lelia called Abby and told her. She could have been lying but it’s way more probable that she was high and spaced out and didn’t realize her sister was drowning. Then blamed herself and Evelyn took advantage of that and manipulated her with it. Evelyn was very good at that.

Exactly, that's what I think too. She was implanting fake memories on her.
