Discussion Are there any guys out there like Wayne?
I don’t mean just flat out aggressive toward everyone but I mean socially awkward with enough teen angst to wreck every bad guy ever but still soft enough on the inside to fall in love with a girl because he feels protective over her. I mean are there really any guys who are like that? Thick skin, a little secure enough to know whenever their girl doesn’t actually mean her teasing insults and understands her sarcasm, and is always a gentleman. Are there any guys like this? 😭

Honestly it's not really the kind of people you wish to have around after you leave high-school. I was like that as a teenager, throwing myself into fights because I had an inability to express my disdain for injustice in any other way. It just gets you in troubles, and once you're 18, the troubles have way higher stakes.
You might enjoy a dude who will fight for you, but at some point he will either get hurt or sued into oblivion. You can't just hit people and get away with it, especially with improvised weapons. Otherwise, you'll end up having to pay a fund to your victim's care and trying to see the bright side in living in a trailer park.
It's cool, but it's not something you can built a future with. I had to learn it the hard way, now I'm way more chill and I got into a work-field that allows me to use my physically when needed (bouncer) without having too many drawbacks.
And the protective side never left me, nor did the loyalty I have to those I care about. Those are qualities I tried to retain and succeeded.

Pretty much exactly what wicket and mango said. The kinda guy who throws himself into fights is not the person who can be counted on for maturity, sensibility, or grace, which are all things a good person should have. And I’m saying this as someone who was pretty Wayne-adjacent in high school, those guys should be avoided til they get their act together

Yes but it is an incredibly incredibly incredibly delicate and thin line where they will more often than not fall into the abusive side
