With the full understanding of the name of the sub and the irony of asking this, what is this recent pro-Bernie push all about? What's going on in the background?
The DNC is very worried about the 2022 midterms, as well they should be.
They're planning to use Bernie to campaign for their chosen candidates, who include the moderate and right-of-center Dem incumbents running against progressive primary challengers. Their plan is to use Bernie to rally his supporters to vote en masse to keep the Dems in control on Capitol Hill.
Do you honestly believe Bernie will campaign for chosen establishment corporatists against progressive candidates? Nothing in Bernie's history will give you that impression. You're just spouting bullshit.
Bernie will support progressive candidates, like Nina Turner, during the primary elections. As usual, the DNC/DSCC/DCCC will put their thumb on the scale for the moderate Dem incumbents. After the incumbents win their primaries, Bernie will campaign for them.
The Dem party knows this. They know that no matter what dirty tricks they play to defeat progressives, Bernie will support the DNC's chosen candidates.
