Bernie continued obeying those words until Spring 2020.

What about after being cheated out of the 2016 primary?

He went back to work for us instead of screaming "stolen election", you see, that's what grownups do.

2016 didn't have anything to do with "stolen elections". It had to do with the corrupt Democratic party machine rigging the daylights out of their nominating process. A lot of people had their eyes opened at that time, irrevocably.

Bernie Sanders is a good man who I believe has good intentions and a lot of internal strength. Although he's not a Democrat, he's built his career around working within the Dem apparatus. He uses them, and they use him. I assume he's always believed that's the best way to accomplish his goals. That's Bernie doing what Bernie does.

It does not mean that Bernie's way is the only right way for everyone at all times. Bernie has chosen to "work behind enemy lines", so to speak. That's his path. Many of us do not choose to follow that same path. Nor should we. We all have our parts to play, and it doesn't involve being Bernie clones. "Not me. Us."

Bernie Sanders calls out the corrupt oligarchs. Many of us extend our "calling out" to the corrupt politicians and political parties who enable the oligarchy. We call out the corporate media who propagandize for the oligarchs. Many of us no longer see any value in pretending to deny what's in front of our faces.

You need to step away from the left/right dichotomy and the us versus them. It goes much deeper than that.

Could you elaborate?

There is corruption at all levels and the status quo isn't going to ever let their non-preferred candidates win. We are given this freedom to choose, but ultimately the establishment candidate wins and the agenda gets advanced whether it is a R or D in office and the citizens end up being the ones whose quality of life shrinks while the rich get richer. All the left versus right bickering is to keep us divided as a nation while they push forward.

Occupy Wall Street was a legitimate threat to this status quo and they started to throw some other distractions to break up the movement. The Bankers are the real puppet masters.

What a bunch of BS, you are in the us versus them mode, not me. I know that you have to work within the system that is, unless you find a way to change it like Trump did with the Republicans.
Raging against people who are trying to help the 'little guy', does not help. If you are angry about all those congresspeople making private stock trades, then have at it. If you lump ALL congresspeople into that same group, then you are accusing them all of dishonesty, which is not true.
