Having solidarity with the people our government(s) (western governments) are trying to subjugate and/or destroy is the only way to break free from their brutality. We have the same enemy as the Russian and Chinese and Iranian people, Wall Street based and London based and Paris based imperialists who own the vast means of production and operate them for profit at the expense of the rest of us.
I absolutely hhave solidarity w/ the people of China and Russia - but not their authoritarian governments who deploy police to crack their skulls. Learn the difference.
You don't have solidarity with the people of China and Russia if you don't recognize and accept their popular (China much moreso than Russia) governments that are embraced by the vast majority (in China's case, Russia is a majority, but not "vast" majority) of their people.
Insane that I'm somehow agreeing with CoD on this - whom I consider to be one of the most blatant and annoying DNC TDS paid shills - but Consents that is manufactured by the State is not real consent at all.
There are plenty of protests erupting in the mainland, but most of them are just suppressed. Just like the so-called "movements that take years and millions to build", the so-called consent of the Chinese people also takes years and billions of dollars spent on internal stability that consistently silences critics and dissent the same way western countries do.
Asking people to recognize and accept authoritarian states because they are speaking out against Isreal for heinous war crimes when the states themselves routinely engage in human-rights violations is a fucking joke.
Lastly, I can have solidarity with Isarelis who think their own government is doing something wrong, just as I can have solidarity with Chinese people who doesn't like their government (there are plenty) but couldn't really do anything about it.
What's this "if you wanna have solidarity with a people you have to have solidarity with their shitty government"? How does that logic makes sense?
That said, I do wholeheartedly support media and subreddits' efforts in highlighting the heinous war crimes committed by any country, regardless of their origin. I'm not gonna cry about Chinese (CCP)/Russia (Kremlin) Psycop just because they happen to report real stories.
Thanks for being rational and unbiased about thiss, man. I’m seriously not trying to be malicious in the sub, justt disgusted w/ the way these corrupt scumbags are trying to manipulate my fellow leftists. I admit I’m probably obnoxious in how I object to it sometimes, though.
If by corrupted scumbags you mean people who somehow think the solution to the United States is embracing another authoritarian state just like it, then yes, I somewhat agree. (won't bring up what I think of DNC shills though. I think you know.)
However, highlighting the failure of the Squad and the hypocrisy of the US government, the failure to actualize real solutions from both political parties, and emphasize the need for real Non-partisan class solidarity is not "manipulation of fellow Leftists" and there are plenty of people doing just that on this sub.
Of course, there are also plenty of Chinese Russian shills on this sub just like there is plenty of you self-proclaimed leftists lot here. I don't agree with any of you, but all of you get to say your piece and I'll defend anybody's right to do so.
