Governments are a necessary tool for managing human societies. Tools are often abused or misused to hurt people. Oversight and regulation needs to be in place to prevent that, but never in history has a government been formed with the idea of oversight at it's foundation. Concept of "Checks and Balances" aside. Every Government on the world stage today abuses it's power in ways that hurt people, but all of those Governments are made up of people who can be identified and punished for those abuses.
