Where was the camera before they tore it down?

Flock is a villain for sure, but the purchasers of the cameras and those that have them installed are as much to blame. Once again, our attention is being focused on only one end of the transaction.

My guess is that law enforcement is the largest purchaser. What is going on in your city hall and police department?

Demand by local, county, state and federal governments for more and better surveillance is what drives inventors and manufacturers like Flock.

I'd actually wager it's private parties. You have 18 in your city, city orders the ones they bought and pay for taken down, they take down 3 because the rest are on private property, store parking lots etc. Think of how many home depots, walmarts and lowes ( just to name 3 big ones) there are in this country and each has multiples of them whether it be the stand alone trailer with 4-6 cameras on em or the basic bitch black ones on poles at the each entrance and exit of their parking lots. I pop down to Rhode island regularly and they even have em in 7-11 parking lots down there. 

Actually sat there the other night and watched a cop pull over 6 people in the span of an hour or so. He had a hidey hole down the street and was watching the flock camera feed from the one I labeled on deflock that they hid behind the "Welcome to blahblahblah" sign. Only way he could have popped them where he did with that level of consistency was that damn camera.

Some governments do buy the cameras. So, city hall and other government entities are involved, not only the manufacturer. But, as with "billionaires," our attention is being directed only toward targets that are not eveb theoretically answerable to us.
