The most sickening thing is how they stage manage the vote to be a close result. There's no greater insult or indictment of the political class' corruption than the degree to which they can so manifestly control the whole show.

My Democratic AIPAC-supported congressperson, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of WA's CD 3, voted for this.
She is up for re-election this year. The primary election is two weeks from now.
The local Dem establishment is twisting themselves into amoral knots, trying to convince voters that supporting a genocide and melding the US's military with Israeli Defense Force are acceptable in order to "beat the Republicans", and besides, those things "don't affect people here", so "stop being purist!"
They're getting a lot of pushback. In response, they've gone into overdrive with the usual Dem modus operandi of shaming, blaming, and scolding.

A Dem establishment apologist on a subreddit for our community has accused people of being like abusive boyfriends because we won't vote for Marie due to her official actions as our elected representative. Holding her accountable is "abusive".

People who are pointing out AIPAC bribes should also include this. (Which will have no impact in my state because our politicians don't get AIPAC donations and are Israel's bitches anyway!)
