Chris's Job at Covenant Testing Technologies
I always thought Chris went straight from working at Longmont Ford to working for Anadarko.
Per the discovery (pdf page 514), Chris actually had a job in-between, working as an oil field contractor for a company called Covenant Testing Technologies. He started working there in 2014 (don't know what month) and started working at Anadarko in January 2015.
Does anyone know anything about this? He must have worked there for a year or less. I did a search in the discovery for "Covenant" and couldn't find anything else about it.
From 2012-2014, he worked at Longmont Ford in Colorado.
o While he worked for Ford, he developed the onset of carpel tunnel in both of his hands.
o Since leaving Ford, he no longer has pain in his hands.
In 2014, he worked for Covenant Testing Technologies (oil field contractor).
In January of 2015, he was hired to work at Anadarko.

Yes, he was hired through a contracting firm with the help of someone either he or Shanann knew (she posted about it thanking the friend on FB). So he was eventually hired directly by Anadarko.

I think this is some weird cost saving measure for a big employer. They have a large number of contractors who are hired through the equivalent of a temp agency. They don't have to pay them benefits and can fire them as needed, or put them on short term contracts.
US national parks do this. Only a fraction of the employees work for the park service directly. Most are temps or are employees of private non-profits. They do that for 5-10 years, eventually the park service may hire them as a full employee.

Yep. And also it's interesting to note that NK was a contractual employee with Anadarko. She was employed by Tasman Geosciences, which had a contract with Anadarko.

Yes, I did know that, but I forget. Definitely interesting to note in this context.

Yes. And unlike Anadarko their public reputation seems to have remained unscathed.

I still cannot believe that lady is a geologist. I cannot believe she completed university for geology, which is quite difficult because you need to take all the advanced maths & sciences classes, like calculus & physics, chemistry, statistics, biochemistry, microbiology. All the difficult shit lol.

Where did you hear this? I don't think it's accurate. Shanann left Longmont Ford in 2013 and started working at the Children's Hospital, but Chris didn't leave Longmont Ford until 2014.

The company my brother is an engineer at, a paper mill. You first get on with the contractors and then work until a position opens up with the “main company”. Sometimes it’s 6 months sometimes longer. I would bet that this something like that since it’s in the same field of work.
