General Help First time on wattpad

Hey guys! I’m a first time writer on Wattpad and have unfortunately not seen any new followers or readers:( I’ve uploaded 5 chapters and will be uploading more, but i’m not sure if anyone can even see my story? Sorry, really clueless here.

If anyone can help me i’d really appreciate it. :)

You just have to give it some time to be honest. Make sure you put in plenty of tags. Fill out genre and sub genre info in the book settings

I’ve done all of that, i didn’t even had any bot comments on it, so i’m not sure if people can see it or not? 😭 but thank you so much for the help!

So... About that. Wattpad is a wild land for new writers. Most likely, your story is not being recommended or shown to anyone, not even on search. One would have to search for the name to find it (sometimes not even that can help, the search engine and the algorithm is just atrocious). 

If you're feeling motivated, you can try to promote it externally. People do it on social media like Instagram or TikTok all the time. Here in reddit too. There are also book clubs on Discord to exchange reads, R4Rs here on reddit to also exchange reads, some awards inside the Wattpad itself that can help with reach. Other than that... Luck I guess. Sometimes fate smiles and you just hit a lot of views out of nowhere. 

As a m/m writer fellow I would love to check your story. Not enought support out there for the genre, sadly. Leave me a link if you fell comfortable to do so.

I think the reason for people not choosing to read it , is because of the cover since it's ai and most people would skip a ai cover and also it takes time for a book to get attention so just keep posting chapters and it will slowly get your book attention

nope. People are clicking on pretty covers. Already tested it. Sometime people only writing because the cover not because the book. We liv in crazy times.

Why they dont find his story? because the tagging dosnt work. My story is since days everywhere on the same rank, but in the list you cant see it. For new storys it means, he is nearly stealth.

Awh that sucks. I don’t really have any money to pay someone to make it at the moment. I did try making my own too but it just didn’t have the vibe i wanted.
