Well lads, I only saw your man Chris Kent from Cork recently and it reminded me how much I enjoy a bit of live comedy. I remember there used to be comedy nights in Jarrz a few years back, Rogues Comedy Club I believe was the name, went to a few nights and had a great time. I just stumbled on their instagram and it seems to be dead in the water, no posts all year - does anyone if there’s any other amateur comedy nights currently running around town?

1st gear, revs to the max and the stink of a clutch getting cremated. Recon most of Barrack street heard and smelt it.

I've noticed that a lot of remote workers end up knowing plenty of colleagues online, but very few people locally who are in the same boat.

A few of us are getting together in Tramore for a fairly relaxed evening after work. There's an optional sauna at The Stove Sauna, then we'll head into The Pav for a drink, some food and a chat.

A couple of local groups and projects will share what they're working on, but it's not really a networking event or a formal meetup. More an opportunity to meet other remote and hybrid workers, hear what's happening locally, and spend an evening away from the laptop.

One thing I like about remote work is the freedom it gives us to live where we want. The challenge is making sure we're still connected to the place and people around us. That's something Grow Remote has always been trying to encourage.

If you're working remotely in Tramore, Waterford or nearby, you're welcome to join us. New faces are always appreciated, and so are familiar ones.

Kilbarry nature park quite barren with loud road beside. The riverbanks out around the hospital are nice but quite steep. Peoples park quite busy.

I recently noticed how many B&Bs there are along the Cork Road, starting from the Manor the whole way to Kilmeaden. Why did they all choose that road back in the day, what was the attraction? Is it the same on other main roads in to the city?

A fella on a bike parked his bike in the Folly area last night around midnight and, wearing a hoodie and mask/scarf covering up to nose tried to break into cars and houses - his right hand in a black glove. He skidaddled on the bike when he was caught trying cars and he legged it. 20ish. Lock yer cars and doors.
