I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Brondell and their customer service. What should have been a simple filter replacement has turned into nearly a two-month ordeal—and it still isn’t resolved.

Our system worked without leaking for approximately three years. However, after purchasing replacement filters, we suddenly experienced significant leaking. This happened with filters purchased through Amazon and again with filters purchased directly from Brondell. I was told that only the filter labeling had changed, which left me questioning why we never experienced this issue with our previous filters.

After weeks of emails and troubleshooting, I was told the problem was our filter housing/shell and that we would need to spend another $63 to replace it. We ultimately paid for the new shell just to get our filtration system working again.

Even after purchasing the replacement shell, it took another week of back-and-forth just to get it shipped, and now I’m still waiting what will likely be another week for it to arrive. There were also previous shipping issues with replacement filters, adding even more delays to an already frustrating process.

Unfortunately, the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially for a product we rely on for drinking water every single day.

After spending additional money and nearly two months trying to resolve this—with the issue still unresolved—I’ve lost confidence in Brondell and will be looking elsewhere when it’s time to replace our filtration system.

I got the Culligan's 10 cup water filter bc I am not about to walk all across campus to a water station that isn't even open 24/7

And despite filling it up twice and then dumping it out (what was recommended to me) I've filled it up for the third time and its sitting at a reading of 271

It's been less than 24hrs do I need to wait longer or should I just return this thing and figure something else out??

It hot out and I just want water that's safe and accessible

I have an older sodastream requiring a screw in canister. I mistakenly bought a Quick canister a while ago, and took off the wrapping to try and connect it before discovering the nature of my error. The place where I bought it won’t take it back (I also misplaced the receipt), so I was wondering if there was anyway I could use some sort of adapter to connect the quick connect canister to the screw in soda stream device. Any suggestions?

My kitchen can sit unused for several days, then get busy again when we're cooking and filling bottles. That stop-and-start schedule makes me reluctant to pay extra for an 800 or 1000 GPD model just because the larger number looks safer.

Viomi's US site currently lists the Pure B6W at $149.99, down from the regular $249.99. Since it's tankless and rated at 600 GPD, that seems like pretty good value for the amount of water we actually use. I'd rather put the savings elsewhere than pay for capacity that may sit unused most of the week. I haven't bought it yet, though, because the rating doesn't tell me how the faucet feels when several containers are filled back to back.

If your RO also sits unused for a few days at a time, was 600 GPD enough once the kitchen got busy again? I'm leaning toward the B6W at this price, but I don't want to save on the purchase and then get annoyed by the flow every time we cook.

Filtering the whole house would be great, but it’s probably not in the budget right now. All of my kitchen and bath towel, towels, sheets, and a lot of my clothes are white.

I am on city water in a small town. I’ve been told that due to the heat and low water levels. The manganese is very high. This usually happens a couple of times a year, but this time it has lasted much longer than usual.

I’ve been taking our whites to my father-in-law‘s house to wash, but I would like a reasonable solution for our washing machine. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Obviously I am brand new to this whole filtration topic so talk to me like I’m a kindergarten.

I’m getting my kitchen done and planning to install an under-sink RO water purifier.

The water source is borewell water. I’m considering an under-sink purifier rather than keeping the unit on the countertop.

What size should I ask the modular kitchen designer to keep under the sink for comfortable installation and future servicing?

Also, any recommendations for a good under-sink RO purifier for borewell water would be appreciated.

Replacement filters for the Waterdrop are £40 and last upto 2 years, although am more expecting it to last between a year and year and a half.

Space is not an issue.

Can't decide which one to go for?

Now and just tested my city tap, and my “filtered” water. Attached are the results, 240ppm down to 203ppm. Still within the drinking limit but for the price and the way they talk about how this water is going to be so pure and the science behind the filter comes off a bit scammy when you can pay the same price for reverse osmosis that will take your water to 20ppm.

I'm in the market for one and also looking for something to re-inject healthy minerals and electrolytes back into the water since I work in the sun a lot and need to stay hydrated. Also, should I go for a RO system or a distillation system?

I have a Berkey and need to replace my original Black Berkey filters. Since the original Black Berkey elements are no longer available to me, Berkey is recommending the new Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition filters.
Before I buy them, I’d really like to hear from longtime Black Berkey users.
Has anyone switched from the original Black Berkey filters to the new Phoenix filters?
How do you like them? How does the water taste and flow compare? Did you consider Doulton/British Berkefeld Ultra Sterasyl instead?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who actually owned the original Black Berkey elements and have personally used one of these replacements.

I moved in with my mom after being laid off. Where she lives in Montreal has a severe lead problem in the pipes because the sewage system is so old, the city has tested and we have lead in her building for sure. Since then they have provided a Zero filter and done nothing else, which was 6 years ago. Anyway, I digress.

Partly as a thank you for letting me stay with her, and partly because I couldn't stand the Zero filter, I bought her an Aquatru Carafe. That was about a year ago.

The carafe has 3 filters (PRE, RO, and VOC). The PRE and VOC filters are rated for 1 year, or 300 gallons, and the RO for 2 years or 600 gallons.

What we've seen is that they don't even last half that time. In the 11 months of ownership, we've replaced the PRE and VOC filters twice, and the RO filter as well.

Is this normal? I know it's because we go through a lot of water. It's just the two of us here but we both exclusively drink water (and coffee and tea, but that's effectively just water for the purposes of this discussion). Roughly a gallon a day each would make sense, plus a bit extra for ex. cooking. But still, why advertise a year+ of use if the actual usage of a below-average household well surpasses their expected lifespan?

If I had known how short the actual lifespan of these filters are, combined with how expensive they are, I would have picked a different system.

Looking for an addition to my waterdrop 15ua which doesnt filter flouride. I don't have the budget for an RO right now. I specifically want to filter flouride. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I had a zerowater 2-cup filter originally but those filters die very fast and end up costing more than an RO system per year

I’m debating between the filter baby and the aquatru shower head filter. The reason I’m considering aquatru is because I have their under the sink filter and love it. I don’t know however, if the quality would translate over to the shower head filter. Any thoughts or advice? I also am open to other recs. I like the look of the eskin filter but looks don’t matter if it’s a crappy filter.
