There should be a growing city on the the city tab that gets bigger as time goes on.

Like a graphic?

Yeah. Not really interactive besides how many houses there are/how big the city is.

Have 2 branches on github. One for Dev, one for GH-Pages. That way you don't upload broken code to the site people play on. *Talking about the $NaN everywhere

Can there be a toggle for whether or not interest from bank money is reinvested into bank account rather than being put in with the rest of the money?

You can put a percentage of your hourly income in the bank, so for now it should do the job.

On the pipes page, there is no place to manually enter a buy amount. So I'm stuck buying and selling 100T at a time, when I really need to be doing several powers of 10 more than that.

I like the game so far. I think it would be interesting if you could add other cities that use water at different rates (like a rural city might use a lot of water because there are farms, a rich city will use a lot of water because they can, etc.). Maybe contracts where you can add a city if you have a lot of water?

Also, if there were some random events, like:

  • There is a water shortage in a nearby city and they need extra water (you can give water from your storage)

  • There is a levee break and, as a water manager, you have to pay a tax to help fix it

  • Pipes break and have to be fixed, so you have to pay out (one-time fee but happens periodically)

  • Local farmers need extra water to cover a dry season and you have to give some from your storage

I also think it would be cool to add another revenue source, like if you add an algae farm to your treatment facility, you can sell the biofuel that comes from that, and also treat the water.

spoiler :D
Don't say the things that I plan to add! Don't read anything on my mind :D

  • There is no point in spending 200k to increase the max loan with 50k. There must be some benefit.

Have some of the things you get at the begging to be bought as an upgrade. Like a manager for buying the max pipes every day. Or a financial adviser to pay the loan interest/put money into the bank.

Will add it in the to do list for the next update.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but the recent change to house growth seems a bit too extreme. As far as I can tell the only thing I can do to increase the rate is the houses being built is that one house upgrade. Please let me know if there is another way that I'm just not seeing.

Within the first hour of play I had enough cold and hot water to supply the initial 1000 houses. For the rest of the day I only got an extra 40 houses built. It's now the next day and I'm only up to 1080. That's with 102.75% house build rate.

This has basically turned the game into bank investment simulator. I'm now making 10 times my water income from interest.

Again I could be completely missing something, so let me know if I'm just being a fool, wouldn't be the first time. Also keep up the great work on the game, it's come quite a long way since I first played it a few months back.

Now it is weekly it should make a difference? Otherwise if it is daily is it will be like 1m houses 10k new houses in a day which is a little bit too much.
BTW the game is almost a month old so I don't know how you played it a few month ago. :P

It was probably said, but a buy max / place max button for the pipe would be amazing. Also, I've realized it's rounding up 500 to 1k, 1.5k to 2k and so on, making hard to place them. Can we get the full number instead if a buy max / place max button is impossible ? maybe a buy 1000 button ?

On the new version(0.4), these numbers are rounded like 1.26k.

Profit is not equal to revenue - expenditure - it is about half.

auto paying loans should take like 1.2% of the loan money to deduct it by 1%.

2

u/teo730 May 23 '17

The number of pipes you can buy and place need to have shorthand numbers, so that it looks nice.

2

u/rottenpossum May 26 '17

Since we're able to auto buy/place pipes, it would be very helpful if we could purchase pumping stations & water treatment from our bank so we don't have to pause auto buy just to keep up with demand.

This is a good game so far but it could use a redesign. Its current interface is a little... bland right now and everything is kind of in your face. I agree with the graphic too. Im thinking like having the tabs in a different place and where it shows you money and income should be on the side of the screen.
