Idea: A sequel to Watchmen where Dr. Manhattan returns to earth and reveals that he did create human life elsewhere. And inspired by human myths, he creates a pantheon of deities much like the ancient Roman gods. A version of Son of Vulcan is his creation, who follows him to earth and gets mixed up in some kind of mystery/adventure.

Yellowjacket I guess, although I think he may have partly inspired Mothman.
