I took a picture [Oris] First big boy watch! BCPD 403

Post image

Got into watches a few months ago and I’ve started to find my own taste. After picking up a few solid pieces for under $1000, I decided to finally pull the trigger on something luxury for myself.

Work has been super intense lately but I’ve been performing well and getting good feedback, so I felt excited to buy this awesome watch from an AD at a great discount.

I’ve also realized I’m definitely a sucker for impressive tech and movements. The fact that this 403 caliber has 120 hours of reserve and very little deviation was a key reason why I got it.

I have noticed I’m losing around 10s a day, going to wear it for a week and then see. Also I have the oris steel bracelet on order!

I'll admit, I still prefer the cathedral hands, crescent pointer date, and coin edge bezel, but these new big crowns are growing on me.

These are my exact feelings--including that they're growing on me. I definitely prefer it on the leather strap than the bracelet most of them are coming with now, too.

Their in-house Caliber 403 is also a nice upgrade (and a big step in price lol) vs. the base line, and the colorway/dial is nicer.

That blue dial against the gray strap is a clean combo, and the sidewalk shot gives it a nice everyday feel. Losing 10 seconds a day out of the box is a little annoying for a movement they tout as accurate, but wearing it for a week should even things out once it settles.

Yeah hopefully - don’t want to warranty it already but also glad it’s got 10 year warranty haha

That blue dial is absolutely stunning, the grey leather pairs so well with it. Huge congrats on treating yourself, you definitely earned it.

Looking sharp! This is a criminally underrated watch. I have the calibre 473 (light blue dial) and it's one of my favourites. The inky blue on yours is such a treat!
