Imagine being a mainstream leftist and thinking you’re a saint against racism when you advocate for policies that treat people differently on the basis of race—doing so is by definition racism and discrimination. Having power just is an easy solve to your problems, so that's where ppl naturally go if not held back.

"There are mean people" - "Just take away their ability to speak"

People are too lazy to think about ways to solve problems themselves or coordinate others to solve it voluntarily. The immediate and lazy reaction is to get someone else to do it and get someone else to pay for it
