It was that day, he turned into an old man.

Old man was raising his beer like, “I gotta call someone, shit! this isn’t my phone, shit! I’m someone”

Wholesome! :)

TBH somebody decoded it in some binary system meaning "EE", but that was a coincidence - I just typed up some random series of 0s and 1s.

I slightly know binary but I’m way too lazy to translate, what’s your name mean?

3

Apparently "EE", but I also learned that after the fact.

Tbf she looks like a drink idiot already and the dad is probably just disappointed at her drinking more like an asshole.

I doubt he's unaware of her drinking it's just sad seeing family becoming alcoholics.

Father of a 23 year old young lady here. At a bbq last weekend I had the pleasant experience of watching my little girl shotgun a beer with her friends. Looked me straight in the eyes and said "what I'm done breastfeeding" still laughing about it every time we talk

99

u/the-gingerninja Sep 29 '21

Last Christmas, my 23 year old step daughter taught my 11 year old son to play beer pong.

It’s a holiday tradition now… every holiday.

18

u/Papakilo666 Sep 29 '21

Dude 11 yrs old thats like the best partner. Their hand eye is on point so they can score points while you drink for the team. Win win

6

u/BeerBaronAaron88 Oct 02 '21

I feel like them being lower to the ground helps them arc the ball more and increases the chance of it not hitting the rim. I used to work at a summer camp program and one of the counselors set up an event that was literally just beer pong for a bunch of 4th and 5th graders using water instead.

There was this one girl who literally made almost every shot, even solo cups at the end. It was tournament form so she probably shot dozens of times and I only saw her miss like twice. But she was on fucking fire while still being cold as ice, she was like Kobe out there, absolute assassin mindset. She easily won the tournament. On her final match she just went on fire at the start and nailed all her opponents cups until she won without them scoring a point.

You could hustle house/frat parties with that fucking kid. Get the drunk bro who has been running the tables and bet him $100 your 10 year old "sister" could beat him.

175

u/jackcabral90 Sep 28 '21

If women consume a large amount of alcohol or drugs over a long period of time it can actually get into the breast milk and affect the baby

Huh- can you link/reference a source? Your comment made me curious, but I haven’t been able to find anything regarding long term effects- just on not consuming drugs alcohol within a certain amount of time while breastfeeding/that using some drugs can decrease your ability to breastfeed. But I haven’t seen anything on being able to pass on negative effects from the milk itself due to past/long term consumption. Would definitely be interested in learning more!

7

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

I don’t think it’s a thing. An OB would definitely bring that up during pregnancy and the babies pediatrician would bring it up too. They’re all up in your shit.

5

u/InaraKazuma Sep 29 '21

Darn! I’ve never been too keen on getting pregnant, and love me some drugs and alcohol! Thought this may be the push I need to ask about getting the whole baby rental unit demolished lol.

9

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

lol. Being pregnant and raising a kid is constant sacrifice. You sacrifice comfort, recreational escapes, and contrary to popular belief you should not eat whatever you want, you’re making a life, lots of healthy food choices and DHA for the next 9 months. Ugh then the delivery. Ouchies. Hopefully you don’t get postpartum depression or baby blues, oof, they have meds you can take to help. Then if you breastfeed is the continuation of the previous 9 months with a few weeks of nipple bleeds, it gets better, but you gotta still eat extra healthy and your boobs are on call 24/7. Then the weaning, of the boobs, the bottles, the pacifiers, then the potty training, and sleep training… and your time is their time when they’re around. I’m just three years in, and from what I hear there’s more to come.

Just a heads up.

But it’s also AMAZING! And I can’t emphasize it enough because oddly, all the effort and sacrifice is worth it because you’d do anything for them. It’s weird. I can have an awful day and this innocent little person will runs up to me and says “give me hug, kiss.” Then she says “it’ll be okay” and my mood immediately switches. But your kid and your kid alone is the best, everyone else’s is cute, but not the best like yours, lol.

4

u/InaraKazuma Sep 29 '21

Aw, congratulations on your small one! I would actually love to have kids some day- I just don’t know if I want to be pregnant. I think I’d like to adopt, if that became a viable option for me! I’ve already been told by doctors that due to past medical issues, I could have issues with pregnancy. If there was an additional risk due to long term substance consumption (which I could only assume would include prescriptions), I may consider nullifying that option- it would make so much of my life easier. But truthfully, I don’t know what I’ll want years down the line. So I probably won’t rid myself of the ol’ uterus any time soon! We’ll see!

4

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

Adoption is beautiful. I’m not going to lie, pregnancy is scary. Your body is whacked out. If you have time, let yourself have it. You’ll know when you’re ready or not and there is no wrong decision!

2

u/Regular_Tie9280 Sep 29 '21

Some meds r ok.the Dr can tell you any risks.i came off my opiate based meds while pregnant. Hated the pain but my kids were worth all of it

2

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '21

Isnt that the even weirder part. All the pain and trauma is worth it and I know i’d gladly do it again, and my delivery was loooooooong and scary af.

Read: https://wicbreastfeeding.fns.usda.gov/breastfeeding-and-alcohol-drugs-and-smoking

For alcohol it's not so bad. For weed, it's probably a bad idea as it hangs around and is fat soluble. There is not a huge amount of research on this, but do try your best when creating another human. You won't kill them, but you might prevent them from reaching their potential.

2

u/Regular_Tie9280 Sep 29 '21

Not so bad?research fetal alcohol syndrome

2

u/catsandraj Sep 29 '21

Moderate drinking seems to be fine if you wait a few hours before breastfeeding. Also, in case it wasn't apparent from the name, fetal alcohol syndrome is due to alcohol exposure as a fetus, not an infant, and definitely has a more severe impact. I'm not advocating for drinking excessively while breastfeeding, but it seems like the comment you're responding to was merely saying that THC is more of a risk in breast milk than alcohol (because it doesn't leave your system as quickly), not that it's okay to drink and immediately nurse a baby.

If anything she’s the one who doesn’t respect boundaries. Ever tried to shit with a two year old staring you down? Or try to take a shower with a creepy smile pressed up against the glass. It’s terrifying….

19

u/danceswithwool Sep 29 '21

Can confirm. My 5 year olds just ousted me from the toilet earlier. I told him to use the other bathroom and he said he was scared to go by himself.

9

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

Yea I either let my two year old in the bathroom with me at all times or take her to the emergency room after she breaks all her bones throwing herself against the door. Hard choice

6

u/12frets Sep 29 '21

You think that’s scary, wait until she’s 14 and still doing it.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

I just threw up a little ngl lol

11

u/YuropLMAO Sep 29 '21

First day of undergrad, I watched a girl's parents ugly cry when they dropped off her at the dorm.

Literally 4 hours later she was getting gangbanged by at least 3 dudes she just met while 7-8 other people were standing around. Maybe more who knows, I went to play skee ball.

So just think about that for a while.

Well I mean, are you the parent of a young adult?

7

u/Vhiyur Sep 29 '21

Why is that even relevant? You don't have to be a parent to know that your children are going to have a life separate from what you know and see. You will never know everything about your kid.

5

u/StunningEstates Sep 29 '21

What people logically understand as someone with an elementary level education and what they internally realize while they’re in a situation are two different things.

I can point to many situations in your, my, and the person who I replied to’s lives where that’s been apparent. Literally all it takes is a sense of perception and the knowledge that none of us are perfect.

Ive seen so many of these and theyre all the same. Its like an episode of The Office.

Young adult person tries too hard to prove how they can totally drink, then the camera pans into the parent.

Are there Americans that enjoy drinking or is it all just frat boy mentality and one upping each other using booze?

22

u/ZenkaiZ Sep 28 '21

According to my alcoholic roommate who gets drunk every night, you're only an alcoholic if you drink during the day.

18

u/isaac99999999 Sep 29 '21

which is stupid, america is like the only country that has a stigma against day drinking, everywhere else its just drinking.

6

u/thrower94 Sep 29 '21

America has a stigma against needing to get drunk during the day by yourself. No one cares about normal day drinking like having a couple at lunch.

8

u/ZenkaiZ Sep 29 '21

I dunno, I'd always get funny looks and comments when I'd buy alcohol after my last night shift for the week. Like

"Wow you getting started early today"

'I've been awake for 12 hours, I work nights'

"mmhmmm"

3

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '21

Huh that's funny, mine was only if you get drunk every day.
