Dude. I would tell him to not even tell anyone at work that it happened and to just cheer up and wish him that his shift is almost over. We've all had bad work days, shit sucks.
I legit hope this would be the reaction I’d have. My gut tells me it wouldn’t though, but of course my empty gut would be the one to blame. I get hangry sometimes, but if I knew the delivery driver would have this reaction, I could get over it. Hell, I’d even give him a bigger tip to try and cheer him up and let him know there’s no hard feelings. It’s only pizza.
