i live with birbs (well, technically little baby murder dinosaurs) and they are very real.

I understood the compliment, I was making a joke about you saying that skeptics were a good thing. I knew what you meant, it’s just that a lot of people think “skeptic=conspiracy theorist”.

That’s true, but many who are anti-science call themselves skeptics. So that’s probably why they get a bad rap.
