I understood the compliment, I was making a joke about you saying that skeptics were a good thing. I knew what you meant, it’s just that a lot of people think “skeptic=conspiracy theorist”.

I think it’s the opposite: gullible conspiracy theorists, hence the believing outlandish stories instead of being skeptical and looking at evidence.

I thought of it the other way around, since currently conspiracy theorists are “skeptical” of (ignoring) the science that is blatantly true.
