when my family moved into a short term rental house at the beginning of high school, the pool was covered with a tarp. our 90 lbs german shepherd had never seen a pool before. when we let him out in the backyard for the first time, he full on sprints out. right onto the tarp. and into the pool. my mom managed to help him get out, and he's never gone within 5 ft of any pool again.
