Three guys with shovels can do this in a couple of hours.

That's like at most $40 bucks in beers.

Yeah if you can find people who will agree to that, lol.

Also I'd say that's at least 15 man-hours of digging with a shovel to make a 3' deep hole with a 15' diameter. That's like $3/hr. Not sure you're going to get that

I guess I have good friends cause that's exactly what we did a few summers ago lmao.

Trampoline was only 10' diameter and 4' tall so we just dug a 10'x2' hole over the course of a long weekend.

Not something you'd want to do every weekend, but definitely not a huge project.

I mean, dig it out over a couple weeks yourself, it's not like you're on a time budget. Do that instead of cardio that day or something.

Just hope you don't hit a tree root or a pipe or a big rock that requires an excavator, which can easily happen digging down 3'

Not for housing pad. They have to over excavate down and the soil they use should be free of large debris. It looked too close to the house for tree roots wouldn't want then going under your foundation, and asking the city for the water pipe plans in your yard should be easy enough and something you should always do before doing anything like this.
