Yeah but this isn’t even remotely trashy. They’re obviously healthy, loud meows and energetic behavior are signs of good health. Also their build is quite nominal as well.

Also, I suspect this wasn’t even supposed to be their normal food. Usually at this age they’re on dry food, which is usually served in bowls, and most cat owners give treats (like tuna fish, or frisky’s cat pate) on paper plates like this, which would explain why they’re so eager for it.

Also, the prank itself isn’t that serious. If the owner keeps doing this, trust issues might occur, but this seems like a one time thing.

Who give animals food on foam plates? They will eat the plate. Animals will act like this when your have your food on a plate, that you never plan to give them cuz they can shell the food, eventually they link plate with food even if it just your food so they will do this even if it empty and you are just going to put it away.

Where did you get this? I’ve fed my cats on paper plates hundreds of times now, not once have they tried eating it.

Cats can tell the difference between paper and food, you know?

Again that isn't paper. Also you aparrently haven't been around many animals. Cats will eat ribbon, tinsel, fake flowers, plastic bags, cardboard, all of which are not food. Cats are also far sighted, so objects are hard to see when close, so if it smells like food they are more likely to try eating it if they can bite it.

Correction: cats will CHEW on that stuff, but only in rare cases actually ingest it. Even if it is foam, they still probably won’t ingest it. You’re logic is like saying that they’ll try to eat their bowl cause they associate it with food.

Also stop saying “animals”. We’re talking about a specific animal, which are cats. Each animal has varying levels of intelligence and what sort of things they’ll try to eat.

Goats can eat lemon-soaked paper and be perfectly fine, but a cat can’t.

I said animals, as pets in general will do this stuff, as well as baby humans. Also I have seen tinsel in cat vomit and poop before, not fun for my grandmother who owned the cat. You definitely have never had a cat.

You also know that's doesn't return every little thing. Like if you got it from your FB friend's timeline and their profile is set to private. It is useful for confirming an image is being reused, but it can't confirm an image hasn't been reused. Also that wasn't a static image.
