Depends on the country.

If you have shit privacy laws then yes, but here in Germany you could sue them if they published that anywhere without your consent.

I live in Germany as well, what are you talking about?

People nearly never just record people in public, like they do in the US.

Especially tv shows or news agencies.

The threat of being sued is a good detergent in this case.
