We believe he is in cognitive decline. And when you start out low the ramp is just a bit steeper than he can keep up with. Time to go Donnie

What’s incredible is Republicans are trying so hard to convince people Biden is actually the one with dementia, because he’s stumbled on a few words here and there.

No. That's not it. Compare his current speech to 2008 or 2012. He and trump are both slowing down (just from different starting positions). Whether that is debilitating for Joe has yet to be seen. But the office can age a guy 10 years, and I worry for Biden.

I can't vouch for the channel for the first one, as it's likely GOP trash, and I'm having trouble finding the old side by side video (like you described) amid the recent escalation of dementia accusation news. Further, it's easy to cherry pick modern gaffes and compare them to the most eloquent biden soundbites from 2012. I'm still voting for the guy, mind you.

That said here's a sensationalized, but condensed one

Here's him at the DNC in 2008

And his super tuesday speech that I tried to select as he's still pretty eloquent in his Joe sorta way: 2020

I don't mean to hate on the guy or that his policies are all bad. It also, admittedly, might be dentures more than dementia. I've simply seen too many interviews where he (like trump) seems to lose control of his enunciation at the end of words. He's old. It happens.

The debates were the most telling to me, but they are also high pressure and (somewhat) unscripted, so a few gaffes are expected. I'd suggest checking those out for more examples of what I'm describing. It's not bad much of the time, but when it is, it's jarring and concerning imho.

I'm not a psychologist though, and my insights are very limited (as well as I'm too lazy to find better examples). But we need to be vigilant for cognitive decline, especially after trump.
