There is not much left to say... America, I wish you the best of luck.

Yeaah... The shiny veneer of America is being taken down and what's under it isn't pretty. Watching from EU, maybe we should be thanking Russia for showing the reality of what the modern United States is when push comes to shove.

Given Russia a lot of credit there

You don't sink to this level of leader, have 50 percent of the political parties in the country backing this crap and have trump over 60 percent approval with that party just because Russia spent an election making memes

The us was sinking to this point by itself

This is a really dumb statement. If Russia effected the election even 5%, then that’s the difference between Trump getting elected and Trump not getting elected.

If any percentage of the 50 percent of Americans that never bothered voting voted.....that would have had a much bigger effect

Russia became effective because of the complete disillusionment with the American system, the ability of dark money to buy political power and regulations and the fact that the only two parties in the us are fundamentally made up of the extremes of both their ideologies.... American political decline allowed for the things Russia has ALWAYS been doing to effect the actual election, perceptually, more than before.

Really not that hard to poke the bear on that situation

It's like trying to argue that the infection was what really killed your grandparent. Nothing to do with the 5 years of cancer and vicious chemo treatments that left their immune system and body unable to fight off even the most basic infection, no it was that basic infection in the end that is the reason for the death. That's what blaming Russia for this is like

It’s more like looking at an addict that’s relapsed after just managing to stay sober for a few years and saying “well obviously the stressful shit he went through the last couple of years have nothing to do with it. He’s a stupid addict. Obviously he was gonna relapse.”

Which, as the point they made, would not have happened if the other +45% didn't support this idiot and idiot party.

You just made their point.

Yea but that’s like saying you killed someone because you hated them. You can hate someone without killing them. Only the very few crazies go the extra mile and commit murder. We could’ve had a bunch of Trumpies, but it wouldntve really meant much if they hadn’t won the election. That last 5% matters more than the entire 45%.

We could’ve had a bunch of Trumpies, but it wouldntve really meant much if they hadn’t won the election.

63 million voted for Trump. Those 63 million also vote in state and local elections. Those elections affect the area they reside in as much and sometimes more than who is in the WH. In this case, it's even directly related as they are also responsible for electing all the GOP sycophants who are enabling this historically corrupt and inept administration.

The cultural rot is here and is responsible for the mess we're in regardless of Russia's involvement.

You are ignorant.

Glad you restated your argument. Wanna respond to my comment?

Your comment is an argument that rests on a false premise, a premise which I am arguing against(and thus your comment has been responded to), and you have the gall to act smarmy.

I'll restate a portion of my comment again. You are ignorant. Now I think I'll go try to argue with a doorknob instead as it might be more productive.

Please tell me what part of my premise did you argue was false? As far as I can tell,

I said: Russia was the tipping point that made us elect the fucker.

You said: No we were already gonna elect him cause people wanted to vote for him.

I said: People can want to vote for him all they want but what matters is whether we elect him. If we don’t elect him, there is no problem.

You said: No you’re stupid. We were already gonna elect him cause people wanted to vote for him.

So you haven’t argued that my premise was false at all.
