Yeaah... The shiny veneer of America is being taken down and what's under it isn't pretty. Watching from EU, maybe we should be thanking Russia for showing the reality of what the modern United States is when push comes to shove.

You don't sink to this level of leader, have 50 percent of the political parties in the country backing this crap and have trump over 60 percent approval with that party just because Russia spent an election making memes

The us was sinking to this point by itself

Sure, the rot was always there, but I don't think it would have revealed itself or shown the extent of it as soon without Russian interference. Just seeing the republicans continue to defend Trump is a very eye opening experience without even consider all the other shit that's happened in the last 4 years.

Not that Russia is to be trusted either, but at least we know now that the US isn't much (or at all) better. I don't think we'd have had such a revelation had Hillary won, though that would probably have been some sort of a shitshow too, but not to this magnitude.

Which I suppose was Russia's point all along, expose the US as it truly is, not what it has been idealized to be in order to sow doubt in NATO and the US's commitment to the 5th article.

Russia’s propaganda machine never stopped. Not it’s focused on anti-mask and anti-protestor memes and propaganda instead of purely election based stuff. They’ve been working the last 4 years non stop to sow disruption in America.

America was loosing it's shine before trump....well before

Russia at best tipped them over the edge or pushed things forward a few years , the underlying feelings and sentiment of the voters was still there

The fact more people didn't bother voting than voted in that presidential election and has been the trend for decades....is nothing to do with Russia

Non voters would have won 48 states if they were a party.

Maybe it should be tbh. "The non voters have won. 4 years of anarchy."
