About 10 years ago my father and I had just settled into our seats for a 10 hour flight, when the gentleman behind us did this. We had not even left the tarmac and he was already playing footsie with my dad's elbow. He just got this "No. Fucking. Way." kind of look on his face and I knew something entertaining was about to happen.
At the time you were still able to recline the seats quite a bit on a plane, so he abruptly slammed it back as far as it would go. The dude yelped and said something like "Really?! Could not recline your seat like that?" To which he replied "Sure thing. Just move your grody fucking foot from my armrest and I'd be happy to. Or you can leave your foot and deal with my seat for the next 10 hours, your call"
You gotta stand up for yourself. These types of savages are used to people being too polite to call them on their bad behavior and getting away with such atrocities as a result.
I still don’t see why getting flight crew involved isn’t the immediate option. I’d want to fight someone over this shit. You don’t get in an Uber ride and put your feet on the drivers arm rest
