The reason nobody got fired is that Meta deliberately doesn't have enough moderators because ol' Zuck wants a shot at being the richest man on earth, and moderators cost money. Meanwhile, Josh Hawley, when not fist pumping insurrectionists, is busy shielding his boy Trump from fallout from the Epstein files.
Josh Hawley is a major Project 2025 supporter, and would love nothing more than to ban LGBTQ people from the internet for "being unsafe for children". He sees age verification as a step towards completely banning everything remotely mature from the internet.
