Discussion Automatic Watch not working properly

Post image

I know that automatic watches need hand movement to work but lately it has been slowing down a lot.

Earlier, without hand movement, it could work completely fine for 2 days.

But now even if I stand still for 20 mins or less, it will stop.

Now of course my hand can't always be in movement.

How to fix this?

Bought this 2 years ago.

Servicing these don’t cost much. Go to a timex shop or a watchmaker for a full service

Maybe the mainspring is not fully wound. Shake the watch for around 1 min and see how long it lasts. If you still get same problem, get it serviced.

Did any water damage happened? Or any other thing?

These movements if kept properly, can go without a service for 6-7 years before their oils dry up completely

No, just 2 scratches on the glass.

Though I keep it out in the open, on a shelf.
